Runners are required to start by their designated PEN marked by numbers from 1 to 5, based on their estimated finish time. Runners must enter the correct PEN number as that printed on their BIB at the Starting Line.

At the Full Marathon, cash prizes are valued at 100,000,000 and 60,000,000 for the first two of the Men's group finishing at under 2 hours 15 minutes as well as the first two of the Women's group finishing under 2 hour 40 minutes. This prize is only applicable to Vietnamese nationals.
