Giải Marathon Hàng Đầu Việt Nam Hé Lộ Đường Chạy 2021

The tracks will also ensure that runners, while competing, will still be able to explore the heritage and landmarks that cannot be missed in the capital of a thousand years of civilization.

The work carried out by DHA Vietnam and the Vietnam Athletics Federation (VAF) faces more challenges as the number of runners registered for the 2021 race has reached a record and may approach the traffic load limit of Hanoi's small old streets.

Based on runners’ feedbacks in previous marathons, following months of survey and research, the ROC has basically completed the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021 running tracks with many new and different points, especially for the Full Marathon.

1. The track is designed to avoid loops, limiting to the maximum sharp turns, with almost no slopes for runners to achieve the highest performance, easily snatching the New Personal Best prize and the chance to rank among the Top 200 runners to accompany the 31st SEA Games in the most convenient way.

2. The running track has been measured by VAF well-trained and experienced experts.

3. The Start gate is a short distance from the Finish gate position in order to bring the most convenience to runners from the Start to the Finish line.

4. The most typical alleys of the capital's five most central districts are included in the running tracks that cannot be more beautiful.

5. Separate areas reserved for photographers at the Start and Finish gates, and at points where check-in is a must once in Hanoi, will help ease photographers' work. Runners may leisurely take a few photos together to capture memory of an impressive race and of their achievements.

6. The running track across Long Bien bridge with slopes up and down has been abolished as the road surface has been worn out over time, and the narrow road would make it easy for congestion on the bridge as the number of runners reaches a record this year. But marathoners can still see the bridge, a symbol of Hanoi, with traces of the nation's heroic history on the track.

7. The last kilometers to the Finish line are straight lines, with turns minimized. Runners can close their eyes to sprint when they reach the Finish line. This is a plus that will surely make all runners satisfied.

8. The arrangement of logistics work, water supply, health care and toilets is to be enhanced, ensuring to serve the record number of runners, which will soon be disclosed.

9. The Start line for all the distances is located near Ba Kieu Temple, which was formed in the 17th century and the earliest place to worship Mother Goddesses in Vietnam, while on the opposite side are Ngoc Son Temple and The Huc Bridge, the most sacred cultural symbols of the capital. When designing the Start line here, the ROC hopes this sacredness will be a source of encouragement and support for runners to achieve the best performance and results.

10. In order to create the best conditions for marathoners as they speed up to cross the Finish line, and also to minimize unwanted conflicts, the ROC will arrange a separate Finish gate for runners of the 42-km and the 21-km distances. Runners competing at the 10-km distance and the Mini marathon will cross the Finish line at another gate.

Similarly, the tracks for the distances of 21 km, 10 km and the 4.2-km Mini marathon are also designed with the same highlights.

The ROC believes that, with the innovations in designing the 2021 track, runners will definitely reach their best performance.
