The VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022, Vietnam's leading professional race, has announced details of the Cut-off Time to ensure the race goes on as planned.

COT details set for each 5-km distance and the entire route are as shown in the table below:

After the COT for each track section, the Race Organizing Committee will clear up the fence, the Refreshment Points, toilets and pave the way for traffic to resume.

Runners who run beyond the COT for each section will be marked “Did Not Finish” (DNF), required to sign the minutes and invited to leave the track to ensure safety of the runners themselves.

In the event that a runner exceeds the COT for each section but continues to race, the runner shall assume all responsibility and risks on the track.

Runners who have exceeded the COT will receive neither a medal nor the Finisher's T-shirt (for the 42.195-km distance).

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors. VPBank Hanoi Marathon results can be used to qualify at any of the World Six Majors, including the prestigious Boston Marathon.
