The Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race has officially announced its race date as November 3, 2024, with the slogan “Together, We go Further.”
As the 10th race in the prestigious Standard Chartered Marathon series, this event is also a key part of Standard Chartered’s 120th-anniversary celebrations in Vietnam.
Celebrating Endurance and Unity
Marking 120 years of presence in Vietnam, Standard Chartered has officially placed Hanoi—Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital—on the global map of the renowned Standard Chartered Marathon series.
The Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race will take place on November 3, 2024, featuring five distances:
✅ 5 km
✅ 10 km
✅ Half marathon (21.1 km)
✅ Full marathon (42.195 km)
✅ A special race category for children aged 5 to 12
The race routes will pass through Hanoi’s most iconic landmarks, allowing runners to experience the heritage beauty of the capital in the crisp autumn weather.
Since 1997, Standard Chartered has established a rich legacy in organizing world-class marathons. The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, the first and largest in the bank’s series, welcomes over 70,000 runners annually. Alongside the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, it has earned the prestigious World Athletics Gold Label status.
More than just a sporting event, the Standard Chartered Marathon represents resilience, unity, and the pursuit of personal limits. The Standard Chartered Hanoi Marathon Heritage Race stands as one of the key events in Standard Chartered’s 120-year legacy in Vietnam.
Beyond the marathon, Standard Chartered Vietnam will also host various cultural and community initiatives, celebrating the nation’s rich heritage.
One notable activity is the “For the Good Around Us” Art Competition, inspiring creativity among children across Vietnam, encouraging them to express their perspectives on kindness and positivity through art.
Additionally, the Standard Chartered Cup 2024 promises a one-of-a-kind football experience for amateur players and Vietnamese football fans. The tournament’s grand prize includes an exclusive trip to Anfield Stadium, along with a training session with Liverpool FC legends and coaches at the LFC Academy.
