VPBank Hanoi Marathon Start Time To Match 31st SEA Games Standard

The Start time of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021, Vietnam's leading professional race, is set at 06:00 a.m. on March 6, 2022, in line with the 31st SEA Games marathon standard at the request of the Vietnam Athletics Federation.

In addition to the above Start time, the race's exceptional Full Marathon on the Formula 1 track and the Finish line at the 100-meter mark in the My Dinh National Stadium will give 600 runners an impression as if they competed at a Southeast Asian game.

The marathon's Race Organizing Committee (ROC) has developed optimal solutions to ensure the safety for runners, including a completely enclosed running track, avoiding any traffic conflicts, while having adequate natural light.

The Start time with light conditions at 06:00 will also help runners get beautiful pictures from professional photographers and nice frames in Vietnam Television's live broadcast on VTVgo.

The VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021’s ROC believes that 600 runners have been well prepared, both physically and mentally in order to achieve high results in the upcoming race.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
