VPBank Hanoi Marathon's Unique Prize Lures 83 Runners
The prize, along with the “VPBank Hanoi Marathon Record Breaking Prize” and the "National Record-Breaking Prize" applicable for the 2021 race, are the first awards to be handed out in the four-year history of this marathon in the Heritage Race system.

The pandemic coupled with the ongoing social distancing in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and many localities across the country have limited training of outdoor sports, but runners remained steadfast in their non-stop practice, with supplementary exercises at home. The ROC highly appreciates the efforts of each runner and hopes that the pandemic will soon be over so that all will get a chance for a running reunion in the new normal. Runners' efforts will be rewarded with the overwhelming joy of donning the Finisher T-shirt carrying the proud words “I did my New Personal Best at the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021”.
The ROC believes that under any circumstances, runners will always maintain the spirit of training to win the race against themselves, enjoy the pride of breaking their own records and join the VPBank Hanoi Marathon towards the SEA Games for a strong Southeast Asia and Vietnam as a safe destination.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
