VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021 Picks 600 Runners For FM Race

A total of 600 Full Marathon runners have been qualified to compete early next month of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon, Vietnam's leading professional race, from nearly 1,500 applications, the Race Organizing Committee has announced.

This outcome was as at 00:00 on February 20, 2022, based on strict requirements in the selection criteria as well as the accuracy of the information sent to the ROC after more than 5 days since registration began to select 1,000 runners participating in the marathon on March 6, 2022.

The ROC has completed sending emails to notify and congratulate the 600 selected runners.

Congratulations to 600 runners who will be present at My Dinh running track, Hanoi!

All the 600 runners will receive an email notification on how to receive the Race Kit and take the COVID-19 test next week.

The ROC greatly appreciates runners' love and encouragement over the past time. This is also the motivation for the ROC to work day and night to complete preparations for the extremely attractive race right on at the track used for the 31st SEA Games marathon.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
