National carrier Vietnam Airlines will accompany the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021, Vietnam’s leading professional race, as its official airline partner.

Vietnam Airlines is a key force in domestic air transport and in Southeast Asia, with more than 120 routes connecting all domestic airports and many international destinations, operating the world's most modern fleet of aircraft including more than 100 aircraft of many brands, such as Boeing 787-9/787-10 Dreamliner, Airbus A350-900 and Airbus A321NEO.

With a new-generation fleet, services imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity and a commitment to continuous development, Vietnam Airlines has proven itself to be a regional leading airline, recognized by the domestic and foreign communities through the years with prestigious award series.

Skytrax, the world's leading airline and airport rating agency, has ranked Vietnam Airlines a 4-star airline from 2016 to now.

Despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam Airlines was the only airline honored in Vietnam's Top 5 Best Brands in 2021, according to a survey by the international data research and analysis company YouGov, and was in the Top 10 Brands with excellent customer experience as assessed by the auditing and consulting firm KPMG.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines aims to become a 5-star airline, joining Top 10 favorite airlines in Asia and Top 3 airlines in terms of scale in Southeast Asia.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
