TAXIS: You may use taximeter intracity. If you are travelling outside the city boundaries, it is usual to agree a fixed rate in advance.

CREDIT CARD AND EXCHANGE
Major credit cards are accepted by hotels, restaurants and shops. ATMs can be found in even the smallest Vietnamses cities. Banks will exchange foreign currency and traveler’s cheques with your passport as a proof of identity. Exchange offices also offer a fast service and usually do not charge commission.

TIPPING
The culture of tipping is still in its infancy. The Vietnamese rarely tip in restaurants or bars, though women usually tip in hairdressers or spas.
